The Patch-a-Day Challenge: 30 Days Later — Small Stitches, Big Wins
The first 30-day Patch-a-Day Challenge is complete, and the results are incredible — from daily sewing habits forming to colourful patchwork progress shared by Pam, Terry, Sue and Alison. These tiny creative moments have sparked confidence, motivation, and real stitching wins for our makers.

Thirty days. Thirty tiny moments of making (or just planning what to stitch or cut) — and a whole lot of creative joy.
I couldn’t be prouder of everyone who joined in the Patch-a-Day Challenge. What began as a gentle idea to help you steal small moments for stitching has turned into something much bigger: a spark of confidence, playfulness, and genuine habit-forming magic.
I’ve been blown away by the stories and photos landing in my inbox. Pam shared the fabric she bought - some days no stitching happens but preparation does. Terry showed off her growing collection of cheerful scraps being stitched into a mini project, one patch at a time. And Alison? She went a step further and collaborated with me on a social post to show her beautiful final project — born directly from her month of daily play.

These moments are exactly what the challenge is all about: finding flow, forming a habit, and feeling a sense of creative progress without pressure. It’s not about big finishes or perfect seams — it’s about rediscovering what happens when you make time for yourself, even for a few stitches a day.
If you’ve watched from the side-lines this time, maybe this is your sign to join in now.

Keep your eye on stitchscape.uk/freebie as it's always available when you need it. It's not something you'll follow all the time but just maybe when life gets ridiculous and you need a break, 5-10 mins of your own each day and something to help you keep going with it.
Let’s keep building those creative habits, one tiny patch at a time.
Alison's words from her Instagram post 30/11/2025 - The #apatchadaychallenge from @stitchscape started with autumn inspirations for fabric selections🍁🍂. Autumn very abruptly changed into winter last week though, so the final assembly isn't reflective of the final days of November ❄️🌨☃️
Thanks Diane for creating the challenge and encouraging daily activity which snowballs (😋) to create a finished piece
